Today, I’m so thrilled to be on her blog tour for her latest book, The Leaf Detective. ![]() She really takes the time to “walk in the shoes” of the people that she writes about. I want to shine a spotlight on all of Heather’s excellent picture book biographies. Heather told me that she was able to interview Eugenie and also learned how to scuba dive in order to write her book! There was a picture book on Eugenie Clark published that same year and this book, while also informative, did not have the same depth of information that I enjoyed in Heather Lang’s book. It was the first time that I had heard of Eugenie. I think I first met her not long after she published her excellent picture book on Japanese-American scientist Eugenie Clark. I have had the great pleasure of meeting her IRL (In Real Life) because she is a Boston area-based author. Please welcome my guest author today, Heather Lang. ![]()
